In Mustafa Balat's article, she is describing the hydro power as becoming the important source of energy in today's life. After all the other major energy sources like coals and natural gas, hydro power is stated as "renewable energy source, (Balat, 2006). Hydro power is becoming the second to the largest energy source globally. Many countries are relying to the hydro power as the their main source of electricity. Hydro power industry is trying to improve their projects by stating that hydro power is less problematic than the older plants. Is hydro power is better than the old ones? Hydro power is design to control floods, to supply water and to meet the needs of people, (Balat, 2006). Experts said that hydro power is the most effective and the fastest improving renewable energy source.
