Energy from Waterfalls

How can waterfalls create electricity? When I was young, I heard about waterfalls as a source of electricity. Experts say that it is called hydroelectricity. It is like wind power, that it turns the turbine to get the generator started, and the generator creates electricity. The water falls and spins the turbine, which turn on the generator that produce electricity. It is a very reliable source of electricity. Places that use the hydroelectric power will not have any shortage because the waterfalls are ongoing sources of water, unless the turbine or the generator gets broken then that is the only time people are going to experience a shortage of power.

  1. This is such a great energy source! I've never heard of it though, until I read this!

  2. I know. It is very interesting. I've heard about that, and the negative ions are the ones that gives off the energy.
